Core, Lulù Nuti’s exhibition at La Chapelle Jeanne d’Arc in Thouars, brings together a series of steel and wrought-iron sculptures that explore the relationship between matter, gesture, and the creative process.
Materials traditionally associated with solidity, strength, and endurance are revealed here in their most malleable dimension, shaped by tension and the potential for transformation. Deliberately minimal in its display, the exhibition focuses attention on the works themselves, foregrounding the process of making and the continuous metamorphosis of the material.
Within this framework, gesture assumes a central role: each sculpture becomes the tangible trace of the action that brought it into being, preserving within its form the memory of its own making. The work thus stands as a material testimony to a process in which creation, transformation, and time remain inscribed in the very surface of the metal.
