THE BANK Foundation – Institute for the Study of Contemporary Painting in Bassano del Grappa presents Ensable_2026. Biennial Observatory of Emerging Painting in Italy, curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi. Conceived as a biennial initiative, the project aims to provide a recurring survey of the latest developments in Italian painting by promoting the work of artists under the age of 40. Through a selection of more than one hundred works, the exhibition brings together a wide range of visual languages, artistic poetics, and expressive approaches, fostering dialogue and exchange among the new generations of contemporary painters. Collectively, the exhibited works offer a broad and nuanced mapping of the contemporary Italian art scene, highlighting the diversity of visions, techniques, and sensibilities that define the medium of painting today.
