Until 1 February 2026, CAMERA – the Italian Center for Photography in Turin is hosting the exhibition Lee Miller. Works 1930–1955, a major retrospective bringing together approximately 160 works by the renowned American photographer, drawn from her archives. Curated by Walter Guadagni, Artistic Director of CAMERA, the exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of Miller’s photographic production between the 1930s and the 1950s, a crucial period in her career marked by continuous artistic exploration and a strong experimental spirit.
The exhibition traces the artist’s work across the United States and Europe, highlighting her ability to move effortlessly between different visual languages and contexts, ranging from surrealist photography and fashion to war reportage. What emerges is the portrait of an eclectic figure, capable of transforming personal and historical experience into images of great visual and narrative power.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue published by Dario Cimelli Editore.
