Per Aria is a site-specific installation by Oliviero Fiorenzi, presented by the Fondazione Pescheria – Centro Arti Visive. The project, hosted in the Chiesa del Suffragio in Pesaro and curated by Marcello Smarrelli, interprets creative thought through a hot air balloon that occupies the center of the space, shaping the air and the surrounding environment as if it were about to rise into the sky.
The installation unfolds around two main movements. The first develops vertically: the suspended body engages in dialogue with the architecture and suggests an upward tension, evoking the elevation of thought. The second movement is rotational, represented by a kite spinning inside the balloon. Visitors can enter this internal space and observe its motion up close, thus stepping into a more intimate and contemplative dimension.
In this way, a conceptual connection is created between the inner and outer spheres, between introspection and an upward impulse.
