Museion in Bolzano hosts the final chapter of the first major European retrospective dedicated to the artist, theorist, sculptor, performer, and Master of Ceremonies RAMMELLZEE. Curated by Hugo Vitrani and Cédric Fauq, the exhibition — produced in collaboration with Palais de Tokyo in Paris and CAPC Musée d’art contemporain in Bordeaux — has been conceived as a timeline, giving shape and context to everything that has shaped RAMMELLZEE’s artistic journey.
The artist always rejected any form of categorization, developing an experimental practice that brought together graffiti, performance, music, language theory, science fiction, and sculpture, giving rise to a unique body of work and imagery.
The Museion chapter broadens the perspective on the artist’s relationship with Italy, exploring a lesser-known aspect of his practice while also bringing it into dialogue with works from the Italian 20th century, creating unexpected and particularly fertile juxtapositions.
RAMM:ELL:ZEE TIME:LINE invites visitors to enter RAMMELLZEE’s universe, where language becomes a battlefield, letters come alive, and art becomes a tool for imagining and envisioning alternative futures. An exhibition that shakes things up, stimulates thought, and calls for a lively and curious gaze.
Dates: from October 17, 2026 to March 14, 2027
