The exhibition Vincenzo Scolamiero. Con qualche parte della terra (With Some Part of the Earth), held at Pavilion 9a of the Mattatoio in Rome, presents the artistic research of painting professor Vincenzo Scolamiero, whose work interweaves painting, music, and poetry while maintaining a constant focus on the everyday—understood both as a sensitive point of departure and as a space of inner resonance.
Curated by Maria Vittoria Pinotti, the exhibition unfolds through a selection of large-scale canvases in which the pictorial gesture takes on an almost performative dimension. In these works, Scolamiero appears to translate visually—through broad fields of color, layered textures, and the traces of the brush’s movement—the progression of a musical composition or the rhythm of a poetic text. Color and mark thus become instruments of an open form of writing, capable of conveying vibrations, pauses, and intensities.
