Her distinctive, high-contrast visual language powerfully emphasizes, almost shouting, what lies behind those words. She asks questions, inviting us to reflect, to confront ideas, and to engage in dialogue \u2014 with ourselves before engaging with others.<br \/>\nThrough works such as these, the artist does not allow us to look away: she confronts us with uncomfortable truths and with thoughts that, in our everyday lives, we try to push aside or tend to regard as distant from ourselves.
