Lismanis\u2019s works reflect on the \u2018behind the scenes\u2019, the pre-determined modes of action, a sort\u00a0of enframing (Gestell), to borrow from a Heideggerian perspective on technology. To an extent, the works mediate\u00a0the relationship between the author and the established structures of photography, video, installation, and artistic\u00a0production.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The show is curated by\u00a0<em>Josef Konczak<\/em>, photographer, Curator,\u00a0Specialist Technician at Camberwell College of Art, University of the Arts London and\u00a0<em>L\u012bna Birzaka-Priekule<\/em>, Exhibition Curator,\u00a0Head of the Creative Studio at the ARSEN\u0100LS Exhibition Hall, Latvian National Museum of Art.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A publication including works from this exhibition will follow in early 2018.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cover image: <em>Trial and Error<\/em>, Reinis Lismanis. Lismanis graduated from University of Brighton in 2014 receiving the Tom Buckeridge Photography Award. Since 2012 his work has been exhibited in group shows in China, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the UK. Reinis Lismanis has been a selected participant of\u00a0<em>Plat(t)form 2016<\/em>\u00a0at Fotomuseum Winterthur (Switzerland) and\u00a0<em>Full Contact 2014<\/em>\u00a0at\u00a0<em>SCAN<\/em>\u00a0Tarragona International Festival of Photography (Spain). Author\u2019s works have been published in\u00a0<em>Aesthetica Magazine<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Source Photographic Review<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Laboratori<\/em>\u00a0(<em>Ca l\u2019Isidret Edicions<\/em>),\u00a0<em>Latvian Photography 2015<\/em>\u00a0(<em>FK Magazine<\/em>), and\u00a0<em>The Telegraph<\/em>.
