In the context of STILL aLIVE. Art and sustainability between fruition and production, on Thursday, April 15th 2021 at 5 pm (CET) on Zoom, we are happy to present Intersections, a conversation between Marcella Manni, Rita Cucchiara, full professor and director of AImageLab Research Lab for Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Multimedia and related applications at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy), and with artists Mark Dorf and Tamiko Thiel.

Intersections will be an opportunity to reflect with Professor Cucchiara, author of the volume Intelligence is not artificial. The technological revolution that is already changing the world (“L’intelligenza non è artificiale. La rivoluzione tecnologica che sta già cambiando il mondo”, Mondadori, 2021) and director of the National Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems of CINI – the Inter-University Italian Consortium of Informatics, of the impact that new technologies have developed on our network of relationships and how their evolution has necessarily triggered a profound discussion in the ethical and philosophical field. The dialogue with international artists Mark Dorf and Tamiko Thiel will help to address the issue from the point of view of digital art, of contemporary digital artistic production, a broad and stimulating test field for technological experimentation.

The conversation will take place on Zoom and will be in English.
